A wealth management firm needed to send, track, and file e-signature documents at volume — without anyone manually creating, routing, or filing them.
The problem. Advisors generated documents by hand using templates, manually sent them through DocuSign, and then manually filed the signed copies. At scale this process consumed hours per week and introduced filing errors.
What was built. A Python-based automation system that generates documents from templates, sends them through the DocuSign API for signature, monitors completion status, and files signed documents automatically. The pipeline handles edge cases — expired envelopes, voided signatures, multi-signer workflows — and logs everything for compliance.
The outcome. A production system that processes documents at enterprise volume with zero manual intervention for the standard path, surfacing only the exception cases that need human attention.
